Munti sets up free viewing of Mayweather - Pacquiao fight in ten locations

The countdown begins for “The Fight of The Century” and residents in Muntinlupa need not to spend money on pay-per-view houses just to witness Pacquiao-Mayweather bout as the local government of Muntinlupa will set up live streaming of the boxing match on May 3, Sunday.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi announced that the city government will host free viewing of the fight without commercial breaks in ten different locations across the city.

Muntinlupeños can view the fight at the following locations: Muntinlupa Sports Complex, Bayanan Baywalk, Cupang Elementary School, Sucat Elementary School, Southville Elementary School, Soldier’s Hills Subdivision Covered Court, Alabang Elementary School, Buli Covered Court, Filinvest Socialized Housing Covered Court, and Covered Court Basilan Street, Maguindanao Avenue, Ayala Alabang.

Fresnedi said he wants to provide venues for free viewing of the match so they can support Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao in his fight as one city. The local chief added that Muntinlupa joins in praying for Pacquiao’s safe fight.

Deputy Administrator Roger John Smith said that there will be no ticketing system in the event and it will be a first come, first served basis.

He added that gates in the venues will be open early as 6AM for the spectators to find a good viewing spot and be able to watch undercard matches.

Pacquiao’s attempt to beat the world’s No. 1 pound-for-pound boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be held on MGM Grand in Las Vegas, USA.
