BHW DISASTER PREPAREDNESS SEMINAR

Nagpapahayag ng mensahe si Mayor Jaime R. Fresnedi sa 400 Barangay Health Workers na umattend sa naganap na BHW Disaster Preparedness Seminar.


Sunod-sunod ang pag-kakaroon ng Disaster Preparedness Seminar sa iba’t ibang kawani ng ating lokal na pamahalaan. Kamailan naganap ang seminar sa Crowne Plaza Hotel, Ortigas, Quezon City na pinaunlakan naman ng tanggapan ng City Health Office.

Nitong nakaarang lunes July 27, 2014 ginanap ang Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Seminar sa Expo Trade Hall, Filinvest Alabang, Muntinlupa City na dinaluhan ng halos 400 na Barangay Health Workers sa siyam na Barangay ng ating Lungsod upang magkaroon sila ng sapat na pang-unawa sa epekto ng kalamidad at pagkakaroon ng mga wastong kahandaan sa mga ito.

Matagumpay na naisakatuparan ang nasabing programa sa tulong ng ating lokal na pamahalaan kasama ang ibat ibang tanggapan  nito tulad ng Gender and Development Office na pinamumunuan ni Ms. Trina Biazon, City Health Office na pinamumunuan ni Dr. Magdalena Meana, Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office na pinamumunuan ni Ms. Analyn Mercado at higit sa lahat ang tanggapan ni Congressman Rodolfo Biazon .

Dinaluhan ito ni Punong Lungsod Atty. Jaime R. Fresnedi, Former Commissioner Ruffy Biazon bilang kinatawan ni Congressman Rodolfo Biazon, Majority Floor Leader Atty. Patricio Boncayao Jr., Councilor Louie Arciaga, Ms. Trina Biazon, Dr. Magdalena Meana at Ms. Analyn Mercado bilang tanda ng higit na pag-suporta sa ganitong gawain.

Tinalakay ng tagapag-salita ng seminar na si Ms. Amy Daura M. Gumboc, OIC – Training Division Office of Civil Defense , ang “Earthquake Hazards and  Role of Women in Disaster Risk Reduction”. Samantalang si Fire Officer 2 Christopher Cagol ng Special Rescue Unit of Bureau of Fire Protection ang “Fire Emergencies”.

Ang programang ito ay para sa bawat Muntinlupeño na magkaroon ng sapat na kaalaman sa kahandaan pag-dating sa panahon ng kalamidad. Layunin din ng programa na paigtingin ang kampanya sa kapabilidad ng kumunidad sa pag-tulong sa oras ng sakuna, upang maging handa ang bawat pamilya sa anumang magaganap.

Ang sapat na kaalaman at wastong pamamaraan sa mga panahon ng kalamidad ay ang pinakamainam na sandata upang makaiwas sa anumang panganib dulot nito.

NCR PWD Skills Competition 2014

Hindi hadlang ang kapansanan sa mga taong determinadong magkaroon ng normal na pamumuhay. Ito ay pinatunayan ng ilan sa mga kababayan nating Muntinlupeño na nakiisa sa programa ng DSWD para sa mga PWD bilang isang host city ngayong taon sa nakalipas na PWD Skills Competition 2014 nitong July 25, 2014, na dinaluhan ng halos 200 daang PWD sa ibat ibang lungsod sa Metro Manila tulad ng, Valenzuela, Pasig, Makati, Las Piñas, Mandaluyong, Quezon City at Caloocan, na ginanap sa SM Center Muntinlupa.

Ito ay programa ng DSWD-NCR kasama ang National Council of Disability Affairs (NCDA) at Pamahalaang Lokal kasama si Punong Lungsod Atty. Jaime R. Fresnedi at ilang mga LGU’s sa Muntinlupa. Ang nasabing programa ay nagkaroon ng ibat-ibang gawain na nagpapakita na hindi papahuli ang ating mga kapatid na PWD sa kanilang mga kakayahan sa Painting, Photography, Cake Decoration, Waste  re-use, Cooking, Flower Arrangement at ibat-ibang talento sa pag-awit at pag-sayaw.

Sinabi ni Ms. Nelia De Jesus, Chief Technical Cooperative Division of NCDA, ginawa ang programang ito para sa mga PWD bilang suporta sa taunang National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, upang magkaroon ng unity at mapaunlad ang self esteem ng bawat kalahok.

Ipinadarama lamang na ang pagpapahalaga para sa mga kapatid nating PWD, na sila ay minamahal at sinusuportahan ng ating Pamahalaang Panglungsod.

CPDO PRE-PLANNING WORKSHOP




Tuloy tuloy ang mga programa ng ating pamahalaang lokal sa pagsasagawa ng mga development projects para sa ating lungsod.

Ginanap noong Hulyo 24 at 24 ang Pre-Planning Workshop sa Qaldi Coffee Bar Putatan Muntinlupa City na dinaluhan ng mga pinuno ng iba’t ibang tanggapan ng pamahalaang lungsod ng Muntinlupa upang mabawasan ang mga proyektong hindi napag planuhan ng maayos at mapaghandaan ang mga susunod na proyekto sa mga susunod na taon.

Dumalo din sina Punong Lungsod Atty. Jaime R. Fresnedi at si City Administrator Engineer Allan Cachuela bilang bahagi ng unang cluster ng Administrative/Finance/Economic.

Ayon sa City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) ang programang ito ay ginanap upang lahat na proyektong gagawin ng bawat departamento ay mailinya ng maayos sa plano ng bawt isa, ng sa gayon mabawasan o makontrol ang pagkakaroon ng mga biglaang proyekto na hindi napagplanuhan ng maayos at ito din ay isang paghahanda sa Planning Summit na gaganapin ngayong darating na Oktubre.

Ang maagang pagpaplano ng lokal na pamahalaan para sa mga susunod na taon ay tanda ng isang progresibong lungsod na tumatahak sa tuwid na landas. 

Rayomar Outreach Foundation nagpaabot ng kanilang tulong sa mga evacuees ng Typhoon Glenda


Katuwang ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Muntinlupa ang Rayomar Outreach Foundation sa pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga kababayan nating Muntinlupeños na nasalanta ng Bagyong Glenda.

Noong July 24, 2014 ay nagbigay ng tulong ang Rayomar Outreach Foundation sa 150 families na nasalanta ng Bagyong Glenda na lumikas sa mga evacuation centers na matatagpuan sa Sports Complex Tunasan, Bayanan Elementary School ALS, Alabang Elementary School, Mullet Covered Court Cupang at sa Brgy Buli Covered court noong kasagsagan ng bagyong Glenda .

Ang Rayomar Outreach Foundation, Inc.  (ROFI) ay isang pribadong Non-Profit Organization na accredited naman ng Philippine Council for NGO Certificate (PCNC). Sila ay patuloy na nakapagpapabot ng tulong sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaroon nila ng mga fund raising activities, Relief Operations, Feeding programs, Medical and Dental Missions, Educational Assistance, Values Formation and Social Development Programs at Housing and Health Programs para mga kababayan nating hikahos sa buhay lalong lalo na sa mga kabataan.

Ayon kay Ms. Cherry Bautista kinatawan ng ROFI,”We work hand on hand with the City Government of Muntinlupa because some of our Businesses are also located in our City at ang Muntinlupa din ang isa sa pinakamatinding tinamaan ng bagyong Glenda at marami sa ating mga kababayan ang lubhang naapektuhan nito kung kaya hindi nag-atubiling tumulong ang ROFI” sa Muntinlupa”.


Ang mabuting ugnayan ng ating lokal na pamahalaan sa pamumuno ni Punong Lungsod Atty. Jaime R. Fresnedi sa mga organisasyong gaya ng ROFI ay nakapagbibigay ng kasiyahan sa mga Muntinlupeños lalung lalo na sa panahon ng kalamidad.

HANDS ON



Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime R. Fresnedi tested the Blade Insert Technology the RSX 180-80 Gold plus Cutter from Weber Hydraulics of German/Austria the first in the Philippines for rescue on vehicular extrication accidents and collapsed structures. Assisting Fresnedi is Mr. Hans J. Griese, Weber rescue systems South East Asia Delegate. Mayor Fresnedi purchased the P 14Million (estimated amount) rescue equipments to ensure the effectivess and quality service of the Muntinlupa City Rescue during calamities. Disaster preparedness in Fresnedi’s goal for the city of Muntinlupa.

40 COOPERATIVES IN MUNTI


Muntinlupa City Jaime R. Fresnedi led the mass oath taking of 40 Cooperatives together with the members of the City Cooperative Office headed by Dr. Edgardo Trozado. Fresnedi and all the city officials extends their support to all cooperatives that would help in the city’s livelihood and economic development. ACOSTA-FRESNEDI INAUGURATES MUNTI-HATCHERY




Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi and Sec. J.R. Nereus O. Acosta Ph. D. LLDA General Manager lead the Inauguration of the 1st Muntinlupa Fish Hatchery at Barangay Bayanan Baywalk. Altogether in the activity is the massoathtaking of new sets of officers of the Muntinlupa Fishermen with almost 1,500 members, Turnover of 200,000 red tilapia. Almost 1,500 fishermen in Muntinlupa will benefit from the newly inaugurated 1st Muntinlupa Fish Sanctuary located at Bayanan , Baywalk . LLDA Manager Nerious Acosta and Muntinlupa Mayor Jimmy R. Fresnedi led the inauguration of the 2,500 square meter Fish sanctuary on June 26,2014.

Part of the special day for Muntinlupa Fishermen were the : oath Taking of new set of officers in the eight barangays of Muntinlupa (Sucat, Buli, Cupang, Alabang, Bayanan, Putatan, Poblacion and Tunasan), distribution of  first batch 200,000 red tilapia fingerlings to the 8 shoreland barangays, and the awarding of the Fish pen share of Muntinlupa amounting to 2.8 Million. Sec. Acosta commends the full support of Mayor Fresnedi’s program about the Laguna Lake rehabilitation program and his sincerity to good governance.

“Sa Matuwid na daan, luntian kapaligiran”, is the LLDA’s cry to help and uplift the environmental programs of the national government, and Muntinlupa has always been In the right track towards good governance.

Environmental protection and rehabilitation of the Laguna de bay is included in the list of Fresnedi’s priorities. This was brought about by the previous typhoons that destroyed Laguna de Bay’s fishing ground for small fishermen. Through the Lake Management Office, led by OIC-Valentino Niefes, projects to rehabilitate Laguna de bay were listed to ensure that the Lake is being protected , illegal fishpens are demolished,and that fishermen are given the chance to restore back their livelihood for their families.

Aside from the Fish Hatchery in Bayanan, the 25 hectares Fish sanctuary in Sucat has been growing fingerlings which are thrown back to the lake during lakeseeding activities, small fishermen are allowed to catch in this area. LMO ‘s continuing program includes, clean up in all tributaries, Bantay-Lawa ( monitoring of illegal fishing activities),shoreland cleanup and restoration together with the Environment Cluster of the city.

Said inauguration was attended by some City Councilors, led by Majority Floor Leader Patricio Boncayao, Louie Arciaga and Vergel Ulanday, from the barangay were: Kagawad Nap Durante of Alabang, and Caloy Casaldon of Tunasan.

Free movies for Munti senior citizens at SM Center


Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime R. Fresnedi together with SM Center Muntinlupa and SM officials led the launching of free movie admission for senior citizens of Muntinlupa. With a good partnership of the City Government thru OSCA headed by Maricel Dacuycuy and SM Muntinlupa, more fruitful programs and privileges will be made possible for the senior citizens in the city. The City Government continues to offer exciting programs and privileges along with dedicated service to make sure senior citizens enjoy their retirement and living the easy life.

Senior citizens of Munti can now enjoy watching their favorite movies for free, up to four times a month, at SM Center Muntinlupa after Mayor Jaime Fresnedi and SM Cinemas at SM Muntinlupa signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to give this kind of privilege to senior citizens.

The launching of free admission to movie theaters to beneficiaries of the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) was held yesterday at SM Center Muntinlupa. The owner/operators of the cinema are considered partners of the City of Muntinlupa in helping the senior citizens.

Thru the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs and the Chairman of the Committee on Veterans, Retirees, Elderly, and Disabled Persons Councilor Ringo Teves together with all the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, projects and programs for senior citizens are made possible.
Senior Citizens may be able to watch free movies as long as they buy their P15 senior citizen booklet from the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs.

“We want our elders to enjoy their lives in relative comfort through these privileges,” Mayor Jaime R. Fresnedi said. “This is also our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the senior citizens for all the sacrifices they have done to make our individual lives better.”

CLEAN AND PRESERVE HISTORICAL SITES



Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime R. Fresnedi speeds up the clean up and preservation of 5 historical sites started today June 6, 2014 led by City Tourism Office, Environmental Sanitation Center, Lake Management Office and the Public Employment and Services Office. almost 100 SPES helped on the clean-up together with BuCor employees. In the photo is the Statue of Liberty at the Jamboree Lake, the country’s smallest natural lake back in 1940. The other historical landmarks are Memorial Hill, Japanese Cemetery, Director’s Quarter, and Administration Building. Mayor Fresnedi looks forward to make Muntinlupa Historical Sites to another tourism destination in Metro South.

Housing Programs are under the Urban Poor Affairs Office led by Alita Ramirez. Fresnedi land banking program for housing, school, and other government facilities will soon be constructed to serve the people of Muntinlupa. MUNTI’S CHESS WHIZ



Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi honors Munti Chess Whiz Ma. Yssabelle Joyce Semillano for winning 2 silver medals in the ASEAN Chess Competition 2011 and 2012 held in Vietnam; winning 2nd silver award in the 2014 Palarong Pambansa. Yssabelle is now a chess varsity player and a scholar in the University of Sto. Tomas. Mayor Fresnedi empower all youth through quality education and supports Muntinlupa athletes.
